Montero is a guard that can create his own shot. Still 18 years old (won't turn 19 until July, 2022). He has deep shooting range and good athleticism. He jumped a 37" max. vert. at the NBA Draft Combine.  In all the free throw attempts we can find for him, he shoots 83%. His assist-to-turnover ratio in our compiled stats is 1.38-to-1. Montero was the leading scorer for the World team at the 2022 Hoop Summit. He is from the Dominican Republic. He played professionally for two seasons with Gran Canaria. The experience as a pro is evident in how he carries himself on the floor. He is assertive and decisive.  ...Montero is likely to always be challenged at the defensive end in the NBA. His wingspan is just 6'5.25" and he weighs 178 lbs. ...Basically at this moment, Montero is a two-guard in a point guard's body. He needs to add as much strength as he can. We do think Montero has a chance to be a solid scoring guard in the future. We believe Montero will be selected in round two.
