Nesmith, Aaron Vanderbilt  6'6" 213 SG soph. Nesmith scored an impressive 24 points per game in 2019-20.  He only played in 14 games after suffering a stress-fracture in his right foot. ...He can really shoot it. He made 60 of 115 three-point attempts on the season! He's a career 82.5% free throw shooter. ...He is terrific in catch-and-shoot situations. ...He is a "thirsty shooter" and he has tunnel-vision too often. Right handed. ...Our biggest concern is that Nesmith had more turnovers than assists in both of his college seasons. (In the NBA, among 83 shooting guards that qualified, only two; Timothe Luwawu Caborrot, and Hami Diallo had more turnovers than assists). Nesmith has more shooting skill than TLC and Diallo.  ...Nesmith strikes us as a coachable, humble enough kid. He clearly understands his job as a shooter. ...We expect Nesmith to be selected in the back half of the lottery.

Our best advice: in 2009, the 39th pick was Jonas Jerebko. We advised, "draft Danny Green."

Our most sketchy advice: in 2001, the 39th pick was Earl Watson. We advised, "draft Nakeia Miller."
