Perry, Reggie  Mississippi St. 6'10" 245 C Soph.

Perry is a right-handed BIG with a fluid, NBA body. He is excellent as a defensive rebounder, and he has a knack for drawing fouls. He averaged 17.4 points, and 10.1 rebounds per game in 2019-20. He was named First Team All-SEC. Perry had more turnovers than assists by a wide margin (140 t.o.'s vs. 93 assists in two seasons). He is a guy that has the skill to use a dribble drive, but not for more than a couple dribbles. ...As a shooter, he has some touch. He shot 32.4% from three-point range (which will have to improve), while netting 76.8% of his foul shots. Perry finished third in SEC boxscore plus/minus. ...Perry was a defensive difference maker for Mississippi St. They were 3.4 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Perry on the floor. ...We expect Perry to be selected in the middle of the second round. ...If he can improve as a three-point threat, we could see Perry playing the FOUR and being an asset. If he can't make threes, then he is likely stuck being an undersized Center, where he would be a back-up at best in the NBA.

Our best advice: in 2016, the 55th pick was Marcus Paige. We advised, "draft Gary Payton II."
