Podziemski, Brandin

Podziemski is a left-handed two-guard that averaged 19.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists as a sophomore. He was the West Coast Conference Player of the Year. Podziemski shot an impressive 43.8% from three-point range. "Podz" led the WCC in rebounding as a guard. He made 77.1% of his foul shots. He had a 1.6-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Santa Clara was 3.1 points per 100 possessions better on defense with Podziemski in the game. He has a good feel for anticipating, and he is a threat to get steals at a high rate. He led the WCC in boxscore plus/minus. He posted a 39" max. vert. at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine. We anticipate Podziemski being drafted early in the second round. We think he is a first round talent and a potential top tier NBA shooting guard.

Our best advice: in 2014, the 29th pick was Josh Huestis, we advised, "Draft Kyle Anderson."
