Pokusevski, Aleksej Olympiakos B 7'0 201 SF 12/26/01

Pokusevski is a hybrid basketball player. He is a skinny 7'0" tall Serbian kid with a 7'3" wingspan yet he moves on the floor with guard-like skill. He has fantastic vision and he is a willing passer. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 1.61-to-1 in 2019-20. ...Only 18 years old (he will turn 19 on Dec. 26th), he plays for Olympiakos B. His three-point shooting numbers: 35% (career). He shot 74% FT in all the attempts we could find for him. Pokusevski doesn't get to the free throw line often. Defensively, there are questions about his ability to guard on the wing. He doesn't get low enough or slide his feet fast enough. However, Olympiakos was a different team with Pokusevski on the floor. They were (an amazing) 12.4 points per 100 possessions better defensively with "Poku" on the floor. He needs to gain strength and confidence to be able to play with the pros in the NBA. If a team is patient and he develops fully, he is potentially special.  ...We expect "Poku" to be taken among the first 20 picks. We like him better than that.

Our best advice... In 2011, the 10th pick was Jimmer Fredette. We advised, "draft Kawhi Leonard."
