Porter, Kevin USC 6'6" 213 SG frosh. Unquestionably, Porter has the one-on-one OFFENSIVE potential to be considered elite. He has strong shoulders, and good footwork.  He can get his own shot. The reality though is that Porter's overall game is relatively inefficient. He averaged just 9.5 points and 4 rebounds per game. He played 22 minutes per game. Porter is labeled as a "guard" but he had more turnovers than assists as a freshman at USC. Guards don't do that.   He shot an impressive 41% from beyond the three-point arc but at the free throw line he was just 55% FT. …I'm a bit concerned with Porter's seemingly "me-first" game at this stage of his career. The landscape at shooting guard in the NBA is CROWDED. Porter is likely to be selected in the second half of the first round. We think that may prove to be a mistake.

Good Advice: In 2003, the 46th pick in the NBA Draft was Sani Becirovic. We advised, "Draft Kyle Korver."
