Powell averaged 7.4 points, and 3.4 rebounds per game as a freshman. Powell is an ATHLETIC 19 year-old player that is not ready for the NBA (yet). He is the kind of kid worth a gamble on because of his 7'0" wingspan and his ability to fly higher than most. He posted a NBA Draft Combine best 43" max. vert. His deep shooting was good (37.9% 3-pt fg.) but he made just 64.8% of his free throws. Powell's DEFRTG was 2.1 points worse than the North Carolina team DEFRTG.
