Queen is a right-handed BIG forward that rebounds well and does a good job drawing fouls. Queen averaged 19.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists as a freshman at Maryland. He shot 20% 3-pt. fg, and 76.6% FT. His DEFRTG was 2.7 points better than the Maryland team DEFRTG. Queen was named First Team All Big Ten. It is worth noting that Queen is a year older than most freshman. He is 20. We believe Queen will be selected late lottery (11-14). Our problem with selecting Queen that high is that his body is suited to play PF but his game is more like a Center. He struggles to shoot the three, and he had more turnovers than assists. He posted the second slowest 3/4-court sprint time at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine. He also had the second lowest max. vert. (28"). He was THE MAN at Maryland but that role doesn't seem likely to follow in the NBA. We do see his excellent feel for basketball. The rim-runs, the touch-passes, and the "want-to" are intangibles that are undeniable positives. We just don't think he's a lottery pick. We think he could be a top-tier reserve in the NBA at some point.
