Queen is a former juco player (New Mexico Military Institute) that has good size and shake to go with his defensive ability. He played the last two seasons at New Mexico St. Queen averaged 13.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game in 2019-20. His defensive numbers are impressive enough to warrant investigation. New Mexico State was 1.6 points better per 100 possessions on defense with Queen on the floor. He shot 38% 3-pt fg, and 81.4% FT. His assist-to-turnover ratio is 1.59-to-1. ...Queen was the 2019 WAC Tournament MVP. ...He is the career leader in WAC boxscore plus/minus. ...Queen has endured a rough journey (once homeless) to get to where he is now. He earned two degrees, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. We don't expect him to be drafted but he is absolutely a candidate for a development deal.

Good advice... In 2017, the 18th pick was T.J. Leaf. We advised, "draft John Collins."
