Reed, Paul   DePaul  6'9" 220 C jr.  Reed is a skinny forward with long legs that is quick off his feet, and quick to the ball. He is an excellent offensive rebounder, and a difference maker on defense. Reed averaged 15.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.6 blocked shots per game in 2019-20. DePaul was a whopping 9.7 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Reed on the floor. His three-point shooting was inconsistent (33% career). He shot 73.9% FT in his three-year career. He had more turnovers than assists in each season. …A smart kid that was on the Big East All-Academic team. He was the 2018-19 Big East Most Improved Player. He backed that up with a Second Team All-Big East nod in 2019-20. He finished fourth in Big East boxscore plus/minus. ...Reed is a player "on the cusp" in our opinion. His ball-handling ability really needs tightening up. He is "close" as a deep shooter. Repetition should allow him to raise his percentages. He has the athleticism and length. Improved ball-handling would give him a chance to play something other than small-ball C.

Our best advice: in 2012, the 26th pick was Miles Plumlee. We advised, "draft Draymond Green."
