Reeves is a 23 year-old scoring guard that is concerned with getting buckets and not much else. And he is good at scoring. His floater-game is top-notch. He averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 2023-24. He is an accurate shooter that led the SEC in three-point percentage (44.7% 3-pt. FG, 86.3% FT). Reeves was named First Team All-SEC. He had his first season (in five) with more assists than turnovers this year. Reeves has a 6'8" wingspan and he is right handed. He does use his off-hand well. Reeves tested with a 36" max. vert. at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. He spent three seasons at Illinois State before closing out his NCAA career with two years at Kentucky. Our biggest concern with Reeves is on the defensive end. His DEFRTG was 5.4 points worse than the Kentucky team DEFRTG. Clearly he needs to improve as a team defender. We think Reeves will be taken late in round two. We think he can be a low-tier starter in the NBA, especially on offense, if everything goes well. He will be best paired with a shot blocker Center that can help erase some of his bad gambles. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2023, the 47th pick was Mojave King. We advised, "draft Trayce Jackson-Davis."
