Rupert just turned 19 years old. He is among the youngest players in the 2023 NBA Draft. He is a long-armed, right-handed wing that showed some flashes on offense but more importantly, projects as a good defender. He played in the Australian NBL in 2022-23 and he really struggled to be efficient. He shot 31.3% from three-point range. He made 73.8% of his foul shots. Rupert had more turnovers than assists. He was a plus-defender with a DEFRTG slightly better than the New Zealand team DEFRTG. His 7'2" wingspan is impressive on a 6'6" frame. ...He posted a 32.5" max. vert. at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine. We think Rupert will be picked early in round two. Despite the freakish extra length on his wingspan, Rupert has a long way to go in our opinion to play meaningful minutes in the NBA. That stated, Rupert's youth and length give him a chance to hit somewhere down the line.
