Scheierman is a hard-nosed competitive player that saw competition over five seasons in the NCAA. He spent three years at South Dakota State before playing his last two seasons at Creighton. The lefty averaged 18.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game in 2023-24. He shot 38.1% 3-pt. FG, and 87.6% FT. Scheierman was named First Team All Big East. He has a nice feel for team play and he runs the pick-n-roll well. He posted a 1.76-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio last season. He will turn 24 before the NBA season begins. Scheierman was the defensive heart and soul of Crieghton's very good team. His DEFRTG was 1.9 points better than the Creighton team DEFRTG. He finished seventh in Big East boxscore plus/minus. We anticipate Scheierman being drafted in the early part of round two. We view him as a potential top-tier backup SG/SF in the NBA. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2012, the 32nd pick was Tomas Satoransky. We advised, "draft Draymond Green."
