Sexton, Collin Alabama 6'2" 190 SG frosh Sexton is a guard with "POP". He makes explosive, electrifying plays. As a freshman, he averaged 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. He was the SEC Freshman of the Year. ...Sexton has the ability to penetrate the paint. His quickness and ball-handling ability is impressive. ...Most folks have him listed as a Point Guard. We think he is more of TWO. Sexton had a 1.21-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio in 2017-18. That is not the ratio of a PG. ...Sexton has the tools to play PG but he isn't there yet. His shot selection was suspect too often. ...He shot 33.6% from 3-pt. range, and he made 77.8% of his free throws. ...Sexton is a smart, intense competitor. He is super aggressive. He led the SEC in scoring and he gets to the free throw line often. ...Sexton can cross the line sometimes in our opinion with his trash talking. His intensity seems likely to lead to technical fouls and some unnecessary drama. ...Sexton reportedly had a 4.0 GPA in his lone year at Alabama. He is the kind of kid that I think is always going to play with passion. We would rather have to dial someone down than try to turn them up. Sexton should be selected in the back half of the Lottery.
