Shannon played three seasons at Texas Tech, and he finished his college career at Illinois.  He's a lefty, that averaged 17.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and a career-best 2.8 assists per game. He was named First Team All Big Ten. Shannon's "feel" for the game is just okay. He is best in transition, getting out and running. He does a good job getting to the free throw line (second in FTA's in the Big-Ten, this season).  He had one more assist than turnover in his NCAA career. Likewise, he is a lukewarm shooter from deep, at 33.8% 3-pt FG for his four year career. He made 79% of his foul shots in 2022-23. Defensively, Illinois was 1.6 points per 100 possessions better when Shannon was off the floor. We expect Shannon to be drafted in the middle of the second round. We think Shannon has potential to be an NBA starter some day.
