Cam Shelton is a left-handed scorer in a small guard's (by NBA standards) body. He thrives as a guy that gets buckets, and keeps the pressure on opposing defenses. Shelton averaged 21.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in 2022-23. He shot 37.9% 3-pt. FG, and 70.3% FT. He gets to the foul line at a high rate. He posted a 1.70-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. His DEFRTG was 1.3 points better than his team's DEFRTG (you don't often see such a positive number from a 6'2" player.) Shelton played three seasons at Northern Arizona, and his two final NCAA seasons at Loyola- Marymount. …Shelton will not be drafted. He would be among our first calls for an un-drafted free agent deal. We believe he has the skill to play in the NBA. We view him as a potential mid-tier starter at some point in his career if he can continue to improve his shooting.

Our best advice: in 2014, the 8th pick was Nik Stauskas. We advised, "draft Kyle Anderson."
