Shulga is a right handed guard that will be 23 years old when the NBA season begins. He averaged 15 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in 2024-25. He was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. He shot 38.7% 3-pt. FG, and 78.3% FT. His 2.35-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio speaks to his high hoop IQ. He posted a 34.5" max. vert. at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine. He doesn't have great speed but he uses his body well to draw fouls. His DEFRTG was slightly worse than the VCU team DEFRTG. He measured 6'4" with a 6'6" wingspan. Shulga played three seasons at Utah State and then finished up with two seasons at VCU. In 2024-25 he led the A10 in boxscore plus/minus. We do not expect Shulga to be drafted. We think his overall skill level is good enough to warrant a long look as a second rounder. We think he can play in the NBA, potentially being a top tier reserve guard.
