Simpson is a skilled small guard with a strong will to compete. He averaged 19.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. He added 1.6 steals per contest. An aggressive, accurate shooter, Simpson made 43.4% of his three-point attempts on fairly heavy volume. At the free throw line, Simpson made 87.6%. He was named First Team All Pac-12. Simpson led the Pac-12 in boxscore plus/minus and minutes played. He posted a 2.23-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Simpson was also the rare small guard to have a DEFRTG better than his team's DEFRTG. He gets deflections at a high rate. Right handed. We believe Simpson will be selected in the early-to-mid second round. We view him as a potential mid-tier starter in the NBA if he reaches his full potential. He is yet another case of a hard-working kid that saw the fruits of his labor blossom in the last year or so. The late Kobe Bryant is his hero. We think Simpson should be selected in the first round. See video
