Smith, Chris  UCLA 6'9" 210 PF SR.

I thought Smith was really improving and then he suffered a season-ending knee injury (January 2, 2021. Torn ACL in left knee). Smith was the Pac 12 Most Improved Player in 2019-20. ...He is a fluid, right handed forward. He only played eight games in 2020-21. He averaged 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Over the last two seasons combined, he shot 37% 3-pt. fg., and 83.0% FT. ...UCLA really missed Smith defensively. It wound up that Smith's DEFRTG was 4.6 points better than the Bruins DEFRTG. ...In the last two seasons combined he had 65 assists but 98 turnovers. ...We do not believe Smith will be drafted. We view him, if healthy, as a potential backup stretch-four in the NBA.

Our best advice: in 2010, the 17th pick was Kevin Seraphin. We advised, "draft Hassan Whiteside."
