Thiero is the kind of valuable ATHLETIC and tough player that can be efficient on offense without having plays run for him, while being a plus defender that can guard multiple positions. He is 6'6" but his 7'0" wingspan allows him to confidently guard forwards. Thiero averaged 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.9 assists per game. His 54.5% FG was good enough for second best in the SEC this season. Right handed. He is a low percentage three-point shooter (28.4% career) and a 71% free throw shooter. His DEFRTG was 2.9 points better than the Arkansas team DEFRTG. He finished eighth in the SEC in boxscore plus/minus. We think Thiero will be drafted early in the second round. We understand his shooting woes but still think he can carve a niche due to his ability to defend, and finish in transition. He's the kind of guy that enjoys contact, takes charges. He plays a physical game and he's often 'first to the floor' for a loose ball. Because he struggles to shoot the deep ball, he will need to play on a team that has an abundance of accurate shooters.
