Thompson is an NBA athlete with great explosive burst combined with a quick-processing feel for the game. The right-handed wing is 20 years-old, from Oakland, CA. He can create space with his handle and quickness. He averaged 16.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. He shot 29.8% 3-pt. FG. and 66.2% FT. He was the OTE regular season and "Finals" MVP. Ausar showed some of the "clutch gene" in 2022-23. Ausar hit the game-winning three with 2.3 seconds left on the clock to clinch a sweep in the championship for his team. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 1.84-to-1 this season. Defensively, Ausar has the tools to be disruptive and effective. He has bigger hands than his twin brother. They both have a 7'0" wingspan. The "Thompson Twins" have an older brother, Troy Jr., that played collegiately at Prairie View A&M and in the G-League. We have concerns about Ausar as a shooter but we do believe he has special athletic talent and good vision. He plays at NBA speed. We expect him to be taken in the early to mid-lottery.

Our best advice: in 2009, the 6th pick was Jonny Flynn, we advised, "Draft Stephen Curry."
