Timme is unquestionably skilled, especially with his footwork near the hoop. He was extremely efficient in his college career. As a Senior, Timme averaged 21.2 points, and 7.5 rebounds per game. He was a consensus First Team All-American, and the West Coast Conference Player of the Year. The right-handed BIG shot 61.8% FG for his career. He does a good job drawing fouls and he has a knack for making baskets. Timme ranks fourth in career WCC boxscore plus/minus. There are two major issues as we see it for Timme at the NBA level. One is that he is the dubious BIG that has a DEFRTG worse than his team's DEFRTG. The second problem is that he is a poor perimeter shooter (25% 3-pt FG, career). He shot just 63% FT in 2022-23. Our rule: if the player is a low-percentage 3-pt. shooter, they better be special. Is Timme? I'd say his footwork is. But his overall game is not. We do not expect Timme to be drafted but he will surely get a call to play in the NBA even if he is not selected.

Our best advice: in 2015, the 17th pick was Rashad Vaughn, we advised, "Draft Bobby Portis."
