Tshiebwe is an elite rebounder with consistent relentless effort for the ball. He has great hands (and we NEVER just throw that term around). He averaged 16.5 points, and 13.7 rebounds per game in 2022-23. The 13.7 boards led the entire NCAA. He shot 56% FG, and 72% FT. Right-handed but will use his left if he needs to. He doesn’t shoot the three at all (0-2 in four NCAA seasons). Also, on the negative side, he never had a season with more assists than turnovers. All of that said, Tshiebwe is a guy we would love to have on our team. His nose for the ball is special. He is the SEC's career leader in offensive, defensive, and total rebounding percentage. He is a positive defender (4.7 points per 100 possessions better than the Kentucky team DEFRTG). He is the SEC career leader in boxscore plus/minus. Tshiebwe does a good job at drawing fouls, getting to the free throw line with regularity despite low usage. He was named Sporting News and AP Player of the Year in 2021-22. Tshiebwe may go undrafted which we think is worthy of a criminal investigation. We see Tshiebwe as a potential NBA starter. His hands, his strength, and most importantly his sense of who he is on a team are really nice attributes. Yes, he is raw as a decision maker. Yes, we see that he doesn't shoot the three-ball. But is he special? He is.

Our best advice: in 2019, The 41st pick was Eric Paschall. We advised, "take Bol Bol."
