Tubelis, Azuolas

Tubelis is an under-sized, left-handed BIG that really rebounds the ball well. Tubelis runs the floor consistently and he has good hands. He averaged 19.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He was the 2023 Pac-12 Tournament MVP, and a Pac-12 First Team selection. He led the Pac-12 in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage. He shot 31.3% 3-pt. FG (on low volume). He improved his free throw shooting this season, getting to 76.4% after two seasons in the 60's. He had more turnovers than assists. Tubelis' DEFRTG was 3.3 points better than the Arizona team DEFRTG. He has a 6'11" wingspan.  Tubelis finished third in Pac-12 boxscore plus/minus. We are not sure if Tubelis will be drafted. His usage was very high at Arizona and that probably isn't going to come close to translating to his role in the NBA. We do buy his understanding of the importance of simply out-running his opponents through sheer will. We think he's worthy of being drafted.

Our best advice: in 2014, the 43rd pick was Walter Tavares. We advised, "draft Thanasis Antetokounmpo."
