Vezenkov, Aleksandar Cyprus  6'9" 200 SF 8/6/1995 Vezenkov is among the international prospects that really intrigue us. He is capable of playing small forward or power forward (although I wouldn’t call either position "natural" for him). As a FOUR-man he is undersized but he can stretch the defense with his excellent, accurate, quick release perimeter shooting. As a small forward, his handles need tightening up and he does not have great speed. But his skill level is high. Vezenkov shot 41% 3-pt. in 2014-15, and 37% 3-pt in 2015-16. He hit 81% of his free throws this season. Left handed. He makes shots, and he has a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. He's playing in the Spanish ACB league, one of the best among overseas leagues. Vezenkov is a duel-citizen of Bulgaria and Greece. Like many of the international prospects, Vezenkov comes armed with experience representing his country's national team. Vezenkov was the star of Bulgaria's Senior team in the Eurobasket qualifications, averaging 17.3 points and 6.3 rebounds, including a game of 29 points and 13 rebounds against Israel. ...Vezenkov is already an efficient player in a good league. His relative lack of athleticism however will probably limit his upside, and I have doubts about his ability to guard NBA small forwards. That said, there comes a time in this draft where the potential reward of Vezenkov's skill outweighs the risk.

Good Advice: In 2006, the 34th pick in the NBA Draft was Paul Davis. We advised, "Draft P.J. Tucker."
