Wallace, Cason

PG

Wallace was one of our favorites to watch this season in college hoop. He is a right handed point guard that plays defense but can also provide some offense as well. Wallace averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a freshman at Kentucky. He had an eight steals game against Michigan State which set a Kentucky basketball record.  ...Without great shot-makers as teammates, Wallace posted a 2.02-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He shot 34.6% from three-point land, and 75.7% FT. ...Wallace has a 6'8.5" wingspan. He has a 36" max. vert. Wallace was the 2022 Texas high school Player of the Year, and a McDonald's All-American. ...Wallace is a smart kid that plays saxophone and piano. He has a background in football, soccer and track & field as well. We anticipate Wallace being taken in the late lottery. We love his defensive potential but we do have some concerns about his ability to create for himself at the NBA level. We view him as a potential top-to-mid tier PG in the NBA.

Our best advice: in 2018, the 13th pick was Jerome Robinson. We advised, "draft Robert Williams."
