Waters, Tremont  LSU 5'11" 172 PG soph.  Waters is a diminutive, shifty, right-handed point guard that improved tremendously from his freshman to his sophomore season. Waters averaged 15.3 points, and 5.8 assists per game. He shot 34% from beyond the college arc in his two-year career. He made 81.3% of his foul shots in 2018-19. Despite his limited size, Waters is a good defender. He is the rare point guard that had a better DEFRTG than his team's DEFRTG. He was the 2018-19 SEC Defensive Player of the Year. You can't relax around him at all. He has great instincts and quick hands. ...Waters really impressed us late in the season. He can run a team and create his own. We expect Waters to be selected late in the second round. That is too late. This kid is tough and he can do what you need a PG to do. He projects as a mid-tier NBA backup, which, if you can get in the second round, is a good thing.

Good Advice: In 2009, the 37th pick in the NBA Draft was DaJuan Blair. We advised, "Draft Danny Green."
