|Winston, Cassius||Michigan St.||6'1"||185||PG||SR.||Winston was the 2018-19 Big Ten Player of the Year, and a 2019-20 First Team All Big Ten player. He is cool when others are anxious. He is hard to speed up. This season, Winston averaged 18.6 points and 5.9 assists per game. He shoots 43.2% 3-pt fg, and 85.2% FT. …Winston, while listed at 6'1", may be closer to 5'11". His DEFRTG is 5 points worse than the Spartans team DEFRTG. It is likely that defense will always be an issue as a pro. That said, a leader as skilled and even-keeled as Winston rarely comes along. His career 2.37-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is rock solid. Winston led the Big Ten in boxscore plus/minus in two of his four seasons, and he was never outside the top-five in that statistical category. ...We believe he can be an excellent reserve Point Guard in the NBA. We expect Winston to be selected early in the second round.|
Our best advice: in 2010, the 22nd pick was Eric Williams. We advised, "draft Hassan Whiteside."
Our most sketchy advice: in 2017, the 22nd pick was Jarrett Allen. We advised, "draft Juwan Evans."
