Yang is a Chinese Center with BIG hands and a solid feel for the game. He averaged 16.2 points, 10 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 blocked shots per game playing professionally in China's CBA. His DEFRTG was 5.5 points better than his team's DEFRTG. In 2024 he was named the CBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Yang has slightly more assists than turnovers in his career. Yang is a low percentage three-point shooter (28.6%) and also below average at the foul line (67.7% FT). He tested with a 30" max. vert. at the NBA Draft Combine. His 3/4 court sprint times were below average. We like Yang's creativity and footwork. He has studied the game well. We view him as a potential low-tier starter in the NBA. We think he will be taken in the middle of round two.
