Sergio De Larrea is a right-handed Spanish guard with size, shooting touch, and a nice feel for team basketball. De Larrea averaged 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in only 14 minutes per game for Valencia Basket in the ACB League. He shot 38.6% from three-point range and 80.8% from the free throw line. At 6'6" with a 6'9" wingspan and 204 pounds, De Larrea has NBA shooting guard size. He is probably more combo guard than true point guard, but he willingly shares the ball and posted a 1.91-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. De Larrea shows the ability to be accurate in catch-and-shoot situations, gets his shot off quickly, and can punish defenses that leave him open. De Larrea played the 2025-26 season for a very good Valencia Basket team that won 67% of its games. He was not handed huge minutes, but he produced efficiently in a winning environment. His DDiff was minus 1.0, which is not a major negative but does show he was not making a plus defensive impact by that metric. De Larrea does not play the most rugged form of basketball. We wonder a bit about how the physicality of the NBA might affect him. Still, he is 20 years old, can shoot it, has positional size, and understands how to play within a team concept. We view De Larrea as a potential top-tier reserve shooting guard in the NBA. We think he will be drafted late in round one.
