Wyatt Fricks is a right-handed forward who made a significant jump as a scorer this season. Fricks went from averaging 5 points per game to 15.7 points per game in one year. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.5 blocked shots while shooting a career-best 34.7% from three-point range. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference. At 6'9" with a 6'9.5" wingspan and 203 pounds, Fricks is a bit of a tweener. He moves more like a power forward than a small forward, but by size, he fits more in the small forward pool. He is 6'9", but gains only a half-inch with his wingspan, so he is going to be undersized as a forward against NBA opponents. Fricks does have big hands, measuring 10.5" in hand width, and he has above-average leaping ability. The shooting improvement looks real. Portsmouth Invitational tape showed Fricks looking comfortable from NBA three-point range. He shot 68.0% from the free throw line, so the touch still comes with some questions, but the jump shot is worth tracking. Fricks also led the Sun Belt in field goal percentage at 55.2% and finished fourth in Sun Belt box score plus/minus. Fricks posted a 1.15-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio, and 2025-26 was the first season of his career with more assists than turnovers. Defensively, his DDiff was plus 0.7. He was a redshirt his first season at Marshall but stayed and played four seasons after that. We doubt Fricks will be drafted. If everything breaks perfectly for him, we believe he can become a top-tier reserve small forward in the NBA. The improved shooting, finishing efficiency, leaping ability, shot-blocking, and late-career growth give him a chance to earn a longer look than the consensus may suggest.

Our best advice: in 2021, RaiQuan Gray was drafted 59th. We advised, "draft Austin Reaves."
