Jaden Henley is a right-handed guard who gets after it defensively. Henley averaged 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game this season at Grand Canyon. He was named First Team All-Mountain West Conference and was also All-Tournament at the 2026 Portsmouth Invitational. At 6'6" with a 6'6" wingspan and 207 pounds, Henley has decent height for a shooting guard, but he is a bit undersized by NBA two-guard standards because of the lack of extra length. He gets steals at a high rate, gets to the free throw line often, and posted a plus 1.7 DDiff. The defensive activity is real. Henley played at four schools in four years: Minnesota, DePaul, UNLV, and Grand Canyon. To be fair, in two of those transfer instances, his head coach was fired. This season was his first with more assists than turnovers, and he barely made it with a 1.04-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. The shooting is the swing issue. Henley made 30.7% from three-point range for his career and 76.4% from the free throw line. His usage was high at Grand Canyon, and that will not be the case in the NBA. He will have to become more efficient in a smaller role. Henley’s defense, steals, free throw rate, and competitiveness give him a chance. The inconsistent deep shooting and the fact that he is a bit undersized for a NBA two-guard lead us to let someone else try to develop him. If he improves the deep shooting accuracy, he might get there.
