Duke Miles is a right-handed point guard that we think can play right away in the NBA. Miles averaged 16.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.6 steals per game while posting a 2.47-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He shot 35.1% from three-point range for his career and a blistering 90.1% from the free throw line in 2025-26. At 6'1" with a 6'5.25" wingspan and 175 pounds, Miles is on the small side by NBA point guard standards. He is already 24 years old and took a long college route, playing three seasons at Troy, one at High Point, one at Oklahoma, and finally finishing his eligibility with a season at Vanderbilt. Even so, the production and skill package are hard to ignore. In our annual exercise of “who checks the most boxes that matter,” Miles emerged as the winner. Some of those boxes include plus defense, elite assist-to-turnover ratio, free throw attempts per minute, elite free throw accuracy, steals per minute, and a passable three-point percentage. Miles led the SEC in steals per game, which ranked fourth in the entire NCAA. He also finished third in SEC box score plus/minus. Miles is excellent running pick-and-rolls, and his defensive impact was rare for a smaller guard. His DDiff was plus 2.1, which is not something we often see from a small point guard. He jumped a 34.5" max vertical at the G League Elite Camp. Miles will be challenged against bigger NBA defenders, but we think he has the shot-making accuracy, toughness, defensive instincts, and smarts to find a way. His age may limit the upside discussion, but he is one of the more ready-to-play guard prospects in this draft.
