Mark Mitchell is a left-handed forward with NBA positional size, strength, and a developing shooting profile. Mitchell averaged 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists this season at Missouri. He played his first two college seasons at Duke before finishing with two seasons at Missouri. At 6'8" with a 7'2" wingspan and 239 pounds, Mitchell will come into the NBA with the size profile of a power forward. He goes hard, does a good job getting to the free throw line, and posted a very good 1.72-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He also jumped a 35" max vertical. The swing skill is the shooting. Mitchell improved his three-point stroke this season, making 38.8% from deep, but the volume was low at 18 makes on 49 attempts. His career free throw percentage is just 67.1%, so he will have to really convince a team that the shooting improvement is real. He does a good job of cutting. Mitchell’s DDiff was minus 4.4, which is hard to grasp given his strength and physical profile. He is not very handsy, and the rebounding numbers are not great either. The defensive impact will need to be better than the 2025-26 numbers suggest. Mitchell is a former McDonald’s All-American, and the size, strength, passing, foul-drawing, and improved shooting make him interesting. We think he is potentially a top-tier reserve in the NBA, but only if he can make threes. We do not foresee him being drafted.

Our best advice: in 2022, A.J. Griffin was drafted 16th. We advised, "draft Tari Eason."
