Kashie Natt is a right-handed shooting guard with outstanding defensive production and a nose for the ball. Natt averaged 10.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.0 steals per game at Sam Houston State. He was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year. The defensive impact number is eye-popping. Natt posted a plus 8.1 DDiff, which made us do a double take. He also had outstanding steals-per-minute and rebounds-per-minute numbers, finished third in Conference USA box score plus/minus, and consistently found ways to impact the game without needing to dominate the ball. At 6'3" and 190 pounds, Natt is undersized for a NBA shooting guard by height, and we do not have a listed wingspan for him. Still, he plays bigger than the listed dimensions because of his motor, rebounding, strength, and defensive activity. He is right-handed but uses his left well enough to finish. Natt made 31 of 81 three-point shots this season, good for 38.3% from deep, and he shot 78.0% from the free throw line. His 1.92-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio was also strong for a guard whose calling card is defense and activity. Natt played at LSU Alexandria, an NAIA school, before transferring to Sam Houston State. He was the 2025 NAIA National Player of the Year, and then showed that his production could translate up a level. We do not think Natt will be drafted, but the defense, rebounding, steal rate, shooting indicators, and competitiveness make him very interesting. We think Natt has the potential to become a top-tier reserve in the NBA.

Our best advice: in 2018, Lonnie Walker was drafted 18th. We advised, "draft Robert Williams."
