Otega Oweh is a right-handed shooting guard with competitive toughness, quick hands, and a good motor. Oweh averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He played two seasons at Oklahoma before finishing his NCAA career with two seasons at Kentucky.
At 6'4" with a 6'8.25" wingspan and a 216-pound frame, Oweh has a strong body for a guard. He has enough strength, and toughness to compete. Oweh shot 34.7% from three-point range for his career and 73.1% from the free throw line this season. He gets to the free throw line often, which is one of the more appealing parts of his offensive profile. Oweh improved his decision-making over his final two college seasons, posting a 1.29-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio this season. That is still more scoring guard than lead guard, but the progress matters. He is excellent in the open court, plays with force, and can put pressure on defenses with his strength and speed. Defensively, Oweh’s quick hands show up. He gets steals at a high rate, and his DEFRTG was just 0.2 points worse than the Kentucky team DEFRTG, which is actually pretty good for a shooting guard with his offensive workload. He also jumped a 37" max vertical at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine. With his strength, motor, defensive activity, free throw pressure, and improving decision-making, Oweh has a chance to stick as a tough reserve two guard in the NBA.
