Dailyn Swain is a right-handed wing with the ability to get a bucket on his own. Swain averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game this season at Texas while shooting 34.4% from three-point range and 81.5% from the free throw line. He played two seasons at Xavier before transferring to Texas, and he improved his three-point percentage in each college season. At 6'7" with a 6'10" wingspan and a 211-pound frame, Swain has legitimate NBA small forward size. According to Synergy, nearly 60% of his field goal attempts came at the rim, where he converted at a 63% success rate. That reflects his ability to attack the basket and create paint pressure. He posted a 1.34-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio at Texas. Defensively, Swain stands out. His DDiff was plus 2.9, placing him among the better wing defenders in this draft. His anticipation is excellent, and his 1.6 steals per game reflect how often he gets into passing lanes or disrupts possessions. Swain finished seventh in SEC box score plus/minus. The athletic testing at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine showed Swain to be fairly average by NBA standards as a runner and jumper. His max vertical was 36.5". In our notes, we did want to see him become more aware of clock situations. Still, we like Swain’s versatility, defensive impact, ability to score on his own, and steady improvement. That combination gives him a real chance to stick as a NBA two-way wing.

Our best advice: in 2021, Moses Moody was drafted 14th. We advised, "draft Jalen Johnson."
