Meleek Thomas is a right-handed guard with quick twitch, shot-making confidence, and a knack for scoring. One of our favorites to watch, Thomas averaged 15.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 41.6% from three-point range and 84.3% from the free throw line. He was a former McDonald’s All-American. At 6'3" with a 6'6.75" wingspan and 189 pounds, Thomas fits in the NBA point guard size pool. He probably could have had bigger numbers if he had not played alongside Darius Acuff, who ran the show at Arkansas. Even in that context, Thomas posted a strong 2.48-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Thomas can shake to create his own shot, and his first step on offense is quick. He is not shy. He will get his shots up, and he has the type of scoring burst that can change a game quickly. Most of his offense came from jumpers. He did have some dunks in transition, but his ability to get to the rim and finish in a halfcourt setting seemed almost nonexistent. Thomas posted a 38" max vertical at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine, though that part of his game only showed up rarely. He also had the smallest hand width of any measured prospect at the Combine at 7.5". His fifth-slowest lane agility time was baffling because he looks quick with the ball. Defensively, his DDiff was minus 1.8. We think Thomas can potentially become a top-tier reserve guard in the NBA, capable of igniting an offense with bursts of buckets. We expect him to be selected late in round one.

Our best advice: in 2023, James Nnaji was drafted 31st. We advised, "draft Trayce Jackson-Davis."
